Was there a preferred walk on out of Pasco last year?
My grandad was asking how he's doin. Would guess that with the updates about us lacking any QB;s stepping up that he can't even beat out the freshman that can't hit a target.
Beatings will continue until morale improves
Watched him at practice he's not very good.
Jacob Guy is who you are thinking of...
To be honest, the walk-on QBs don't do many drills where they'd even have a chance to show they can play. They're mostly dummies throwing to walk-ons for DB or LB tackling and coverage drills or the QBs in half-line drills to work on pass rush.

That sounds like fun said no one ever.... I guess its just great to be able to say you were a Gator though. I'm just not sure I'd take that job if I had offers somewhere else.
Thought you said he was better then Murph or Morninweg
I don't think I ever said that. I tweeted that maybe Florida should consider giving him a look considering how they were saying Murphy and Mornhinweg were struggling.
TG tweeted during a scrimmage he thought Guy should be the backup if I recall
He was a good hs qb. Cant develop if you dont get reps.
Kerwin Bell and Noah Brindise were UF walk ons who became starters.
Ah yeah it would makes sense that if they really can't trust a junior and the freshmen can't get within five yards of a receiver you might wanna look at other options but I'm not a coach so...
Grandad said he was a player at Pasco, and my grandad has seen some players go through Pasco over the years...
You would think
But walk ons get no love anymore
Jacob Guy. I watched him at practice and like TG said, it's not like he is gonna get a chance to go live in practice. This isn't the wonderful 80s and 90s where walkons actually get a fair shot to play at a place like UF. Not at QB at least. Anyway from a physical standpoint he looks like a FBS DIVISION 1A starter. He and Christian Provancha have really good builds for the QB position. Tall but not string beanish. Solid looking athletes. Unfortunately they are here for reasons like scout team and to bring up the team GPA. You will never see a walk on here that is just an average student. Let that be a hint because the scholarship kids are mostly very average students. Even more of a reason to love Antonio Morrison. 3.76 GPA so far and had a 4.0 in HS to go with his inner GOON. Rare if not unheard of combination.
Uhhhhm, ya, I don't know that I've ever heard of that. Jelani was a nerd so I expected it from him. Tony is scary to even talk about, and he's schooling like that?? Crazy.
Guy(#9) may never throw a pass at UF but he passes the eyeball test for what a "QB should look like"
So hard for walkons to get a decent shot unless there are injuries at his position. With practice time limitations in place that have been added since the 80's and 90's, there just isn't time to work everyone in any more.
probably just threatening to do the teachers like he did EJ
