Congrats to you, your son and your entire family!
TIP? I did that back when I was a kid. It's pretty exciting, good for him! Do you have him in gifted?
Beatings will continue until morale improves
Awesome! Congrats to you and your son!
Awesome. Good luck to him.

Here the more intelligent kids take Apex classes.

Good stuff duke. but I must tell you that I playd with padded blocks while riding in a 5 seater bus to school everyday.
I was special too.
All kiding aside,
congrats bro, you got to be proud.
That's a good look
App it fellas.
Nice man! Thats awesome. What does he want to be when he grows up?
I know we all want our kids to end up at UF. But don't be afraid to mention the Ivy's around him.
His list consists of UF, MIT, and Harvard. He changes his mind on what he want to be all the time.He has mentioned Astrophysicist dudes funny.

A girl I know got a 2400 on the SAT and got denied from Yale. She also has straight A's throughout HS in the hardest classes. It was weird.
Also not only is next Wednesday NSD, next Friday is UF Admissions Decisions day for the next wave of Gators.
Good stuff bru..+1
Congrats man, sounds like all these other recruits having to decide on what school they want to commit to. Never is any easy choice, good luck!
Ohhh let's doooo it
ooorrrannngeeee and bluuueee it
Congrats on great scores. One of our kids went up to Duke for 3 summers for their TIP program. Must tell you the very top schools (Ivy's) are looking for the high scores but the leadership skills and extra stuff really matters. Excellent grades and test scores are not enough for the elite schools...gotta show how well rounded you are today.
Thanks for the info bro.
yeah, getting into the "top" schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Caltech can be a crap shoot. I knew a kid who got into Cal Tech early decision, but got completely rejected from MIT. The issue is that there are so many kids these days that get straight As and near perfect SATs so they are all effectively the same candidate. So they have to make really hard decisions based on qualitative things like extra circulars. So it goes.
Congrats to your kid op!
They look for tons of extracurricular ... want well-rounded kids. Also, sometimes if one geographical area is too represented it hurts
"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
True...My brother has three kids...one went to Brown, one to Penn and one to Cornell. You need a complete application. Another hint is pick the school you really want and apply early admission. The pick a higher percentage of those kids because they have to go to the school (unlike early commits) and their admitted to attended averages go up.
Yeah being from Florida doesn't help when trying to go Ivy League.
Duke anyway ur son can take the ACT for Swanson this weekend?
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
