Look at how perfect this is working out for us. Marquette beats Miami, Syracuse beating Indiana by twelve. If Syracuse holds on HOLY CRAP. We either meet a ZONE team which we will be able to shoot all over or a team we absolutely destroyed earlier in the year....
We got a 15 seed in the sweet 16 LOL....now Kansas/Michigan...that's tough. But since the tourney is aligning stars in our favor..Michigan probably wins because we match up with them better and someone up stairs is a Gator fan lining our path to a title game.
I think I jinxed it ;/.....CRAP!!!

One game at a time buddy
It is not easy to shoot all over that Cuse zone. Not easy at all. Plus, I agree with the poster above.
Small guards struggle against 'Cuse. Florida's guards are bigger than last year but still small as a whole 1-3 in comparison to 'Cuse. Would be a tough matchup. But beat Kansas-Michigan first. That's the more immediate challenge.

i was actually more afraid of this cuse team getting hot. I think they are way more dangerous than indiana. I always though IU was a little overrated.
as well i think michigan is much more dangerous than kansas. I'll be rooting for kansas but betting on michigan ha
You guys thought Georgetown was good too. I don't have to worry one game at a time, none of us do, we don't play. I always love that comment. Telling a fan one game at a time. You do know I don't play basketball for UF nor do you? We can worry about anything we want, has zero effect on the team so why does every thread that even remotely jumps ahead followed by the random douche saying it? Either way, Syracuse Zone does not handle three guard sets well TG, it's been their issue all year, teams that can push into the corner then quickly rotate the ball(which UF does). It's what Louisville did in the title game vs them. Penetrate, push to the corner, then rotate it quickly. They have size but they leave a lot of open jump shots and three's open in their zone. The big advantage though, is they struggle to score. Look at their loses. Louisville, Georgetown twice, Marquette, Pitt. They struggle vs good defenses. If Georgetown can hold them to 50..so can we.
Btw I was simply pointing out the road got easier, I'm def not over looking Kansas or Michigan...that game would be harder than Syracuse or Marquette will be. Just pointing out how we got helped.

Assuming we win Friday, it would be a tough match up down the road against 'Cuse or Marquette.
' Cuse has that zone live and active right now, with lengthy athletes all around it. Like TG said, we have smaller guards which makes it tougher.
Marquette...is not the same team we manhandled earlier in the year.
Florida can beat anyone. But as the road narrows, it'll definitely get tougher.
Marquette I just think we match up very well vs them in terms of how we play. As long as the shots fall vs Syracuse or Marquette we should win. The syracuse zone works very well until you can stretch it out. If we miss our three's in any game we a done anyways, but if they are falling even at around 35-40 percent it's enough to make Syracuse move that zone out and that's when you can get inside of it. Indiana was like 3-14 from three, so they never stretched the zone and therefore everything inside was swarmed by 2-3 guys. You have to make outside shots to beat the zone. Once it's stretched, you can get inside of it and wreck havoc. Now..do we want to face Kansas or Michigan...cause those two teams are more scary to me. Kansas isn't playing great right now but the potiential is there and getting inside the paint vs Whitney is next to impossible. Michigan is hot as heck right now, but they have struggled defensively most of the year...could our screen offense allow us to out score them? Don't really know who I want to win that game to be honest..both have the ability to beat us by 10 or lose to us by 10 lol.
Uhh don't sleep on Louisville, i don't recall Donovan beating Petino yet.
No one is sleeping on Louisville...I'm hoping someone can knock them out because they look scary.

I only see Florida Gulf Coast right now but in all seriousness I hope we did some Michigan/Kansas prep during the week
As a fan you are free to look into the future as much as you please, it wont affect the team. However I like to enjoy the present and fully expect to enjoy our boys win tonight

Looking into the future as a fan also can lead to more disappointment. We can lose any of these games so getting our hopes up about an easy path can make a loss even worse.
Only thing i dislike about Billy is the lovefest he gave pitino in the media last year. Blahh, that stupid father figure mentallity.
Ohhh let's doooo it
ooorrrannngeeee and bluuueee it
