WIlbekin is an NBA PG.....kid is still just 19, will graduate next season at 20 and be even better next year....kid will make a roster somewhere with the way he defends and is developing as a playmaker at PG.....I never thought he would be more than a very good role playe at UF, must admit I was wrong...
Billy D deserves some credit. He is the best coach in the country as far as developing players.
cray how young he is, if bruce bowen had a 15 yr career in NBA no question this kid will find a spot on a roster getting paid
now IF he improves as a ball handler (very possible) .....kid really could be a player on the next level
Jwren called this
Still not ready to say this for sure, because we're seeing him tearing up bad teams. But I will say that any team that wants a backup point guard should think about it.

He has greatly improved but I don't see NBA just yet. He has done some excellent defensive work this season but tonight wasn't one of his best performances. Henderson shot 7 out of 11 from 3 and ended up with 25, Wilbekin didn't eat his lunch as many thought would happen. Off night for both Boynton and Wilbekin from downtown as they both shot 1 for 7 each from 3. Good thing Murphy was still shooting the lights out.
you cant fault SW for eminems night, credit to henderson ,.,,,kid hit some ridiculous circus shots and just about everyone of his 3pt shots was well contested...id argue MH had his best game at ole miss tonight -- he aint that good of a shooter,, it was total circus shot WET mode making most of those 3s....theres a reason he is a 35% 3pt shooter over first 20 games and not 40%+
I think his ball handling skills could be better but I agree he will make an NBA roster some day.
A 17 year old frosh who can shut down all sec player 4 or 5 inches taller than them always have a shot to become really good players.

Henderson doesn't shoot over 40% because he's always taking those circus shots. He's a good shooter... Just not a smart shooter. Today, he was making those circus shots.
Wilbekin will sneak on an NBA roster because of his defensive abilities imo. He's been great lately.
I like th ekid but does anyone else notice or think he palms the ball a lot and it doesn't get called
And that's a first down!
Wisconsin, Middle Tn., Marq., UCF, MO., AZ., KSU, Ole Miss. are not bad teams. Check out their records & note where they currently stand in their conf. Also note who they've defeated to date.
SOS is rated pretty high as well. So have to challenge you Andy on this one. Don't wait til the season is almost over to look for a seat on the bus! Might not be any left!! 18-2 record is enough to convince me. And I still say you have not seen this team play it's best game yet. Starting to get healthy again. Casey & Murph still not 100%. Neither is Will.
I agree with you on not seeing Florida's best yet, and I think that's a good point on those teams, but Scottie didn't play against Wisconsin and was less of a factor against Middle Tennessee and Marquette while working back into the rotation/good graces. If what we've seen in the last month is his true talent level, then I like his NBA chances, but the last month has been mostly bad teams.
I think that catch-22 extends to the whole team, too, to an extent. I think this team's excellent, title-worthy, but I have a hard time reconciling that with how bad the SEC is this year.
Whatever you weren't the one calling Jeff and 813 out everytime they said "we are gonna miss Erv"
Hey, listen here, jack. I'm the one who kept begging for more wilbekin minutes because of his potential.
Well them I guess we're both Happy happy happy
Might want to stop by Walmart and pick you up a personality.
Bullis i love your insight and it is nice you got to start early on your superbowl party. I just dont see anyway he is a pro. Great kid and nice college player but there has been alot of guys like that that never made the league. I dont see how he is any better than Justin Hamilton and he never made it

you may be right Ferd, but SW is better than Jham...who was a better ATH, but a SG forced to play PG....and I loved Jham....SW is a natural PG and getting better by the minute it seems....you been up close to a lot more pros than any of us, so you would know best....at least I was right about CP being a good pro (you were always on the fence there)
It's at least debatable, which is still a positive for SW. As of right now today, I don't see it.
His gm is definitely trending up, and he has time to show and prove even more in the future, especially against that backcourt that UK will have next season.
Still needs to work on his ball handling skills. Has trouble sometimes against pressure. Not a good sign. Great on-ball defense, good 3-point shooter, and solid at penetrating with shooting and passing.
I still don't see NBA right now. But, as noted above, he is trending up. He has to improve his ball handling against pressure, and I have to admit, just a general feel, about him. Something is not quite there, for an NBA player.
Wilbekin is a better offensive player than Hamilton.
Yeah i agree, he has devolped more offensive game than hamilton and is still pretty young
Ohhh let's doooo it
ooorrrannngeeee and bluuueee it
