I think the defense has the pieces to weather the losses, but every time I watch highlights, I realize how big of a loss Gilly, Hines and, if he leaves, Reed are. Who do you think needs to step up and step in quickly next season? I am saying Matt Jones, especially if Taylor and Lane need time to transition.
"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
If Reed decides to leave for the NFL, then Kent Taylor or Colin Thompson at TE. We absolutely cannot have Westbrook or Clay Burton at TE!

They were high on my list. Of the two I would say Taylor, because he has the receiving skills to replace Reed. Now get that boy in the weight room so he can get Dillmanized (c)
Love you, Slappy. But Driskel is the only answer, IMO.
What games have you guys been watching? Burton does nothing in the passing catching aspect but he's our best blocker at TE. He's ahd keep blocks throughout the season. I hope Thompson is ready from day 1 of camp but CB has been solid as a blocking TE.
On the returning players not named Driskel or Reed...I have to go with Joyner. We need him to stay healthy next season

I bow to your knowledge. Respect.
Driskel then DJhumph.
Kid's name is Hunter Joyer.
Damn you AC for being too goon
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
my bad bro, calm the fuk down...honest mistake.
kid led his team in rec and rec td.
We run a ton of 3/4/5 WR sets. Pretty much our entire passing game is predicated on wide sets with that many WRs.
We lose Hammond/Hines/Debose..
I'm thinking PIttman and one of the freshmen Wr's are going to be key for us to take a step forward in the passing game. PIttman was an awesome blocker this year. He got a ton of PT, but didn't get the ball thrown to him at all. Time for that to change this offseason.
Offense should be better at both running and passing next year. Gotta find guys to fill those Wr sets.
Driskel's got to be the most important. After that, assuming Reed isn't back, I'd have to go with Joyer.

It'll be interesting to see how Driskel develops going into next year. But how good we are next year hinges on one thing, the O-Line.
So I'm going to go with all the returning O-Linemen. Specifically Dunker and DJHump to see how they step in and perform.
matt jones i feel pretty confident he starts next yr and gets 1000+

One thing that stuck out to my last night was when they said McCarron is the third Bama QB in a row with 20+ starts. The point was that Saban picks a QB and sticks with him.
I'm hoping we see a couple good years of back to back improvement.
