they look legit
phil pressey is a maestro leading that attack
5* transfer SG Jabari Brown looks like a NBA player some day
Alex Oriakhi is back to his natl championship form -- guy looks like he has broader shoulders vs pat young
earnest ross -- good looking role guy transfer from aubbie that can guard 2/3 spots
will be a dogfight for SEC this year
looking forward to this battle...us, UK and Mizzou is all the SEC has
Mizzou looks like the best team by far in the SEC right now. I just hope when we play Mizzou it's close. I don't think Frank Haith coaches well when things get tight... However the same can be said about our coach. I love Billy but we usually lose the close games! Maybe when we play Mizzou, that will change! SEC starts tonight! Lets GO GATORS!
Come on KB ure reverting back to 2011 KB with some of this nonsense ....BD is a HoF .....haith hasn't won crap and is about to get a show cause for his scUM days
Bet Anderson regrets leaving mizzou even if it was to go home given he gave up best PG in college bball + since pressy undersized will be a 2-3 yr kid
I'm not comparing the two. That is like comparing apples to $hit IMO. Billy D is no doubt a Hall of Fame coach. All I am saying is UF does not have a very good record in games decided by 5 points or less. Maybe someone more knowledgable knows our record. If the game is tight, I would expect Billy D to run circles around Haith, he is the equalizer. He makes some of the most idiotic coaching decisions I have ever seen.
@onlygators: Billy D is in line for Florida-Missouri to not only be a big game but also potentially his 400th win as #Gators coach.
This would mean we would have to win first 3 SEC games, which begin tonight!
I'd take our squad over Mizzou's any day. Y'all keep drinkin that Kool-Aid... Forgetting Mizzou was a 2 seed last year? How'd that work out?
Who made it to Elite 8 last year and the year before. Who has 3 final appearances and back-to-back titles?

Pg/SF mizzou and not even close ...pressy/jab brown 1st rd picks
SF /PF wash
Center ...oriakhi playing better vs young
Bench UF deeper IMO
Florida has the advantage at SG and it's "not even close." Brown will be drafted higher than Boynton, but I'd take Boynton over Brown in a heartbeat as a college player.
Also, I don't think Oriakhi is playing better than Young. Oriakhi is a better rebounder, but he's still very limited offensively. He has one of the best point guards in college basketball setting him up and is only currently managing slightly over 10 ppg.
The only position Missouri clearly has an advantage at is PG, and I think Wilbekin will be able to frustrate him on defense. Ross will also be a tough matchup, as we probably don't have anyone on the wing who has the size/strength and quickness to defend him. Bowers will also be a tough matchup for Murphy, but the same can be said about Murphy being a tough matchup for Bowers.
HC UF / Donovan
PG Mizzou / Press
SG UF / Boynton
PF UF / Murphy (healthy)
C / Wash
Bench not even close / UF
I love our chances with a healthy Murph. UK scares me more than Mizzou because of sheer athleticism. We have solid basketball players to compete with Mizzou's talent level. Don't get me wrong, they're talented. Less talented than last years team, IMO, and they were bounced in which round?
