Was reading that UM is going after Coley from FSu for their OC. Anyone else heard this?
And why in gods name would they do that? I am fine with it of course but why would someone do that? Not to mention why would coley do that? Everything is pointing in the direction of UM getting hit really hard by NCAA?
What am I missing here, looks like the blind leading the blind.

Please let this happen.
"Who was your source? Church mice in here....." - Coach Muschamp
Maybe he likes the smell of dumpster fires.
"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
as bad as a school as UM is now i would go from tallashitty to a beautiful fun city in miami to coach even if the program gets nailed you would still be looked at for other jobs. As for being OC at FSU its just a title we all know Jimbo will call about 75% of the plays...
It's a possible quick advancement if Golden leaves once the hammer comes down
Great hire if true.
I believe this was something Gary ferman brought up. Makes a lot of sense for Miami, makes no sense for coley.
Makes more sense for Coley than UM. Coley doesn't even call plays at FSU so UM is the one taking the gamble.
Outside of a few jewels, Miami recruiting has been borderline embarrassing the last couple years. So getting coley would immediately upgrade that. He might not be calling plays, but he's still being mentioned as a candidate at head coaching positions. So that isn't hurting him.
So while many thought this was a rumor and sqaushed, now newberg is reporting it is valid. Some are claiming FSU insiders have confirmed he is taking the job. Mainly due to Jimbo not letting him call plays. Supposedly Bowers in home was rescheduled which some are saying is because of the possible move.
I dont know but I will laugh into the sunset if true. This is truely 1 stone killing 2 birds.
Please let this happen. Just for LOLs.
The latest on Florida State offensive coordinator James Coley.
This would really hurt in recruiting, but I'm failing to see why Miami wants coley so bad besides recruiting.
Same reason all you FSU fans want Pruitt, he is a good recruiter. As a DC, he has never been one in college. So there is really nothing to get excited about except his recruiting
Not exactly, I mean every bright mind has to get a start sometime, but coley already had 2 years at fiu and his offenses were among the worst in the country and the year after he left it took a dramatic step up.

Pruitt was only a DB coach at Bama for 1 yr if I'm not mistaken, and FSU fans act like they got the best DC in the country now lmfao
What does it say about a school when your OC makes a lateral move to a school that is about to get hammered by NCAA sanctions? Losing 1 or 2 assistants happens to everyone, but I think these guys are sending a message to Jimbo...
It's only a lateral move on paper. Coley is from Miami, he's never going to get to call plays at fsu and people have been hinting that if Jimbo does ever give up play calling duties, it's going to Napier. If that's the case then I think that says a lot about what Jimbo thinks of coley.
from today's Coaching search " According to Manny Navarro of The Miami Herald, Florida State offensive coordinator James Coley is considering taking the offensive coordinator job at Miami (FL.)"
If Coley goes to UM do we get in with Ryan Green? I mean every offensive coach as left.
