Live Updates - Florida vs. Wisconsin

Did you think all these same things last year when the Badgers were less than a month removed from having their starting PG tear his ACL and their starting SF get over 40 stitches from running into the standard?

I get it, Florida will be better at the end of the year, but they made their own bed too. It's hard to feel too sympathetic for guys who couldn't get eligible or obey simple team rules.

If we had our full squad, we win last night by 20 at your place. You have your full squad last year, we winn by 20 at our place. It is what it is. You all won last night. Congrats and good luck this season.

    "That guy"

  • Our starting PG missed last year also.

You won by 6 at home against a 3rd-string forward and walk-on getting starters' minutes. If we had those players, that game is a UF rout, and there's little room for debate. Our preseason rankings weren't based around Jacob Kurtz and DeVon Walker. Doesn't even come close to comparison of last year's Wisconsin team, which I would argue is better than this year's.

The Gators were missing 3 projected starters and a freshman who many think will be a lottery pick. I'd say it's reasonable to say that UF does much better with that talent out there and not at home. Billy Donovan had a walk-on playing 20+ minutes. But obviously of the teams that took the court tonight, Wisconsin was the better one; no one can take that away from you guys.

I'm sure you're excited about your 2 transfers that didn't play last night, but looking at their production at their previous schools, they aren't world-beater types.....unless you consider averaging 6 points and 7 rebounds at Virginia Tech, or 5 points and 4 rebounds at South Carolina, to be impressive numbers. In other words, it's a leap to assume that the game turns the other way simply with the addition of those guys. They've never played a single minute for your team, but they're supposed to propel your team to a win at a venue that has one of the highest all-time college basketball winning percentages for the home team? Sorry, not buying it. Not having your PG available certainly hurt, but I also just finished reading multiple articles on the interwebs stating that Hill would give Wilbekin a run for the starting PG spot, even without the suspension.

Yeah, since playing a walk on and another player that was supposed to redshirt doesnt affect anything at all. Youre a moron if you think Kasey replaces what Scottie does and think not having half of our front court plus two injured players who are only playing because we need them to doesnt mean anything.

Damontre Harris - 2012 SEC All Defensive Team
Dorrian Finney-Smith - 2012 All ACC Freshman Team
Scottie Wilbekin - 2013 All SEC Defensive Team
Chris Walker - 5 star All American recruit

Everything has been all good up until this post. All the sportswriters and Wisconson fans have been great about what was a good game last night and every last one of them aknowledged that the reality was Florida was very undermanned.

Youre lucky UF even wants to play your geriatric program where scoring 60 is a f'ng milestone. You don't want to see us in March. We'll beat your ass by 30

So you're suggesting that even though they haven't played at UF that they wouldn't of helped last night? That makes sense that two decent big men wouldn't of helped our two big man rotation, one being a former walk on and one Patric young who is average.

Like the above poster said the former walk on played more minutes against wisky then I think he played all last year.

Plus Eli carter and yeguete are still recovering from injury.

I really hope they face each other in the tourney fully healthy.
