"First of all, the four-star DE told Rivals' Blake Alderman that he is no longer visiting Florida. The change of plans came as a surprise because Walker seemed set on taking the trip, but he didn't cancel it on his own.
According to multipe reporters who I spoke with in the press box at the Trop, Alabama linebacker coach Lance Thompson was on the field immediately after the Under Armour All-American Game and confronted Walker about his visit to UF. Although minor, that is a recruiting violation by the Tide. College coaches are not allowed to meet with players until they've been dropped off at their hotel and/or been released by the Under Armour staff.
Several players I spoke with told me Walker was visably upset in the locker room afterward and did not ride back on the team bus to the hotel in Orlando. I'm not sure who he left with or where he went, but as of now he is not coming to Gainesville this weekend.
On another note, I just wanted to say that some of you are ridiculous for tweeting me that this is my fault. Two weeks ago I reported that Walker was applying for early enrollment at UF, that's it. I did not say he was flipping and I did not say he was visiting. It was accurate information and I was not asked to keep it quiet.
Last Saturday night, a couple of websites FIRST reported that Walker would visit UF after the UA Game. When Walker arrived at the team hotel on Sunday, he CONFIRMED the visit with ESPN's Derek Tyson. And throughout the ENTIRE week of practice, Walker told every single reporter (including me on Wed.) that he was visiting and dozens of stories were written about it.
Yet, somehow I was in the wrong? People need to stop blaming myself or other media members for doing our job. If Walker wanted the visit to be a secret, he would have denied it on Sunday when he met with Tyson and then not talked about it all week. If he had, everyone would have reported that it wasn't happening. My post two weeks ago obviously did not deter him from making plans to visit Florida AND also annoucing it to the media.
How about blaming the coach who made illegal contact and probably pressured him into cancelling the trip? I'm not the bad guy here, and I think it's a shame that Walker wasn't able to visit UF like he wanted to."
-Zach Abolverdi aka "Crucial"
Lol he mad.
Dude needs a new Haircut then I can take him more seriously.
Did he really refer to himself as Crucial or was that your touch?
Loved Home Alone 2. Gets you an upvote off rip.
I called him a fan and that skews his coverage on Twitter and he personal messaged me that he did not appreciate that.
I also told him that his biggest problem was gloating mid week when the trip was back on.
"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
Whatever happened to people making their own decisions? Why couldn't Walker and his parents tell Thomas that they were going to visit Gainesville, regardless of whehter or not Saban wanted them to or not? Afterall, it's their kid and he wanted to make the visit. So, why not tell Thomas and Bama to go suck an egg?
For the record, I don't think it's right when we try to dictate when a recruit visits another school either.
He is making his own decision, he has been to UF plenty. If he wants to be at UF he will be, if his heart is set on Bama he will go there. But don't think for a second that Champ hasn't talked to him.

Alabama commits a recruiting violation...............................shocking
You guys are naive if you think that Zach knew something that Bama didn't.
This, I don't think this is over yet.
Whatever needs to happen quick cause tomm is the day.
Nah, this may play out over several days, he doesn't have to be there tomorrow to EE, it can happen anytime this week from what I've read on here and elsewhere.
What is likely true, whichever campus he is spotted on first is likely the winner for his services.

yes and no. If Bama was so sure that he wouldn't flip then they would have sent Thompson to commit a blatant recruiting violation. Saban said screw it I'm bigger than the 'AA and got his guy to get DW on the phone. DW was't answering Bama calls from the reports of UA game from some recruits.
Everyone wants someone to blame. It's not Zach's fault.
Careful. It's apparently a violation of the Terms of Service here to not sh*t all over every reporter who isn't employed by 247...
Correct. I'll look up the exact dates, but as long as he's enrolled before drop/add ends, he should be fine. I would assume there's a similar window at Clemson.
