Who ya got?
I don't think this game is a cake walk this year like in years past as. That's why I'm not going to predict a blowout.
Things I'm sure of:
-Tyler Bray is a douche bag, but a talented douche bag. He will complete some passes and rack up a decent amount of passing yards.
-Last years Gator offense was absolutely gag worthy and we scored 33 points on them...33 points! Our offense is drastically improved in my opinion. Inexperienced Driskel > Brantley
-The team that controls the ground game usually wins in this game and I don't think they've improved enough in their rushing game from last year to compete with us. Last year Tennessee racked up an amazing -9 total rushing yards against our Gators...-9 total rushing yards....-9....<----
- Our coaches can make the necessary halftime adjustments to win games late if need be.
-We have a lot more tape on Tennessee than we had on TAMU and as evidenced by the second half of the TAMU game, our coaches can come up with a plan to slow opposing offenses.
For some reason I think the media portraying us as the underdog and UT feeling so confident (IDK why) fuels this victory.
If we can slow them down to start the game and coming out at halftime, I think it could get ugly in favor of the good guy's. I see this game being very tight going into halftime and then getting away from the Vols in the end.
Can't help but think that UT is setting themselves up for a BIG fall.
Good guys 27 Utoothless 17
Gators by 7. I have a strong feeling Gilly is a no-go, due to the groin, despite what the staff has said. As long as we pull out of Neyland with the W, I'm fine. I much don't care how we get it done. Just win, baby. Gotta keep the streak alive.
Gators - 31
UT - 17
Agreed. I don't need to see the style points as long as I see the W.
Just WIN baby...UF by 13!
I look at Tenn and a few things do worry me but. Their ultra talented wr core hasn't seen a good defense. Their run game is suspect. And their same oline is facing our same dline...who completely dominated them last year. The big issue to me is can driskel improve on not holding the ball quite so long. The Tenn offense really is overrated by the media though. However, gillislee being hurt scares me.
If gilly is struggling because of the hip and can't run well.. Tenn - 27. Florida 13. We will see a lot of three and outs without a consistent run game...which means they hold the ball longer and get more chances. They could make the score even worse to be honest. We saw last year what happens when the defense has no help on offense.
If gilly is healthy....uf simply has the advantage in a lot of areas. Dline, dbs, special teams, run game...I think uf is a more complete team. 24 - 20 florida wins...We won't blow them out....its not how our team works. We hang around till the fourth then close it out. Happened the first two. No reason to think if we win it won't be the same way again.
I really think our d line is hungry and bray is going to be pressured all game long. They arent going to run the ball and they are going to be shut down in the run game. I think we win 31-17. Reed has another huge game and is player of the game. Driskel has more rushing yards then the entire tennessee team. Just Win. GO GATORS!!!
@ Ryan596 -
Gilly being hurt would be a huge blow, but I think you're overestimating Tennessee's defense in the first half of your prediction.
NC State scored 21 points on them and I may be off here, but I dont think our passing offense is that much worse than theirs. Couple that with the fact that our rushing attack is better than NC states, even without Gilly and I say we still score 20-24 points even without Gilly getting "Ghost".
I dont see Tennessee scoring more than 20 points on us.
If Gilly is out, I agree it will be much harder for us to come out of the great pumpkin with a victory, but I think our team is has a better chance of pulling out a close game W than the toothless ones.
Just adding some pics for evidence.

24-20 good guys
Up only 28-27 late in the game, Caleb Sturgis kicks a field goal to put the Gators up 4 and force the Vols to score a TD to win, but Matt Elam picks off Bray to seal the deal(like last year).
52-0 only because Tennessee will have to forfeit in the second quarter, they will not be able to field a team after what Elam does to them
it's weird that pirates would go from shore to shore looking for treasure when the real treasure was in the friendships they were making
24-10, good guys
23-13 Gators. Tennessee is extremely one dimensional on offense, and their defense isn't scaring anybody. Neyland will be rocking, but our guys went through that last week, so I don't see the crowd being too big of a factor.
I was going to predict the same as OP (27-17), so I'll give them another FG to make it 27-20 UF.
I'll bid $1.00 Bob
Hahaha, my first thought as well
Haha, I only read the OP when I posted. After I posted, I checked mine and saw yours right above it 1 point away. I Price is Righted you, biiiiaaaa*****
900 posts congrats! I can't seem to catch you these days.
