I've told you guys all year I thought this was Matt Patchan's last year at Florida based on everything I'd heard. The Gainesville Sun reports tonight that he will transfer. Expect official updates on him and Saunders when we meet Muschamp after he gets off the plane in New Orleans tomorrow.
Florida redshirt junior offensive tackle Matt Patchan, who started eight games during his career, has decided to transfer as well.

Well this comes as no suprise, but thanks for the information.
Safe to say his career at UF was a disappointment, albeit through no fault of his own with all the injuries.

More spots opening up.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
I see what you did there
I was just about to ask that question. Either way there was no way he was going to play next year so might as well get another scholarship out of it.
Got me before the edit. There actually was a pec injury so I was told.
Since I don't know much about what goes on on the inside at UF, I'll just assume its the truth and wish him well.
Intersting that he is transfering to either Ohio State or Boston College to be with either Meyer or the Daz.
Lol, so Urban Meyer is going to start taking UF retreads. No big loss, opens a scholly for someone who will contribute and not be hurt all the time.
Have heard that there was no pec injury and he was suspended for the season
Then I have read others on here who said they saw he was in a sling etc
So who knows what the real story was
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
To bad he did it WAY to slow, lol.
Today is the day of no surprise transfers.

"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
guess Boom weeding out "underperformers" to open up scholly's ....wonder whether any negative consequences to this...surprised if kid can play for OSU or BC he should be scholly eligible for UF....hope it went down where boom said "u are always welcome to be on roster, but unless something dramatically changes in next 9 mths (ie patchan transforming himself/body)...I do not see you having any role playing major minutes"
shocking IF healthy we couldnt use another 1yr lineman who has been in the UF system for 4-5 yrs already
Chomp, a lot more to the story, and the fact we all don't know the whole story, means Boom handled very classy and well.
Patchans two options were transfer or nfl. No one said those 2 schools are taking him.
He can transfer anywhere besides the SEC since he got his degree? Good luck MP hope he lands on his feet. Didn't seem like a bad kid just a bunch of freak injuries.
He would be the 4th best OT on the roster behind DJ, Chaz, and Moore. Maybe even Brown. I would like to know how he is at DT since we are thin there, but with only 1 year of eligibility left and not playing DT in a few years I doubt he would be better then the guys we have.
I know the kid stayed hurt but I would trust him at OT over Brown and KK atp, but that it's saying too much.
Today is not a good day to be a weed salesman in Gainesville.
Not weed for patchan, as far as I know atleast
OSU sports information releases statement.
FL OL transfer slipped on the tarmac in Columbus while meeting Coach Urban Meyer at the airport. He tore ligaments in his ankle and will never play for the Buckeyes.
Only scooter and car accidents. IIRC had like 3 in one year.
He also was shot by a gun...
Didn't he already use his redshirt? Doesn't he have to sit one year if he transfers ?
Bite your tongue Jeff, bite your tongue.....
Seriously though, Debose is in a "try out" right now. If we see him not play in the bowl game, like he didn't the last few games, means he is gone. If he does things the right way the next week, and plays meaningful snaps in that game, he will be here next year.
