i wish i could go...cheer extra for me bro!
I'm there as well.
Great stuff. I have a grad degree from Yale, so I will be sporting gear from both schools. I will be there with my 5-year-old.
Neat. Always good to see Dads bring their sons to games. I'm taking a friend & his 14 yr. old son who plays AAU ball. They've never been to any Gator game! Can't wait to see the Yale P-W multi purpose gym. Have read up on it - sounds like a very interesting complex.
Go Gators. Will only be sporting Gator gear!!
How can one get last minute tickets?? i see on Yale website it is "sold out" and stubhub doesnt have any tickets left anymore.....sucks I thought I could get them off stubhub but apparently the 8 tickets they had listed last week were sold / no new ones added ....
thanks in advance if anyone has any advice on how to get last min tix to game!!! want to be there reppin my gator gear hard for the squad.....had a great time at rutgers game last yr in enemy territory and year before in AC when we played MSU
Yep. A good friend of mine here is a former Yale basketball player, and he is taking his 5 and 3-year-old girls to the game. We are grabbing a slice at Yorkside pizza before the game.
For those of you heading to New Haven, you can get good slices at Yorkside or Wall Street Pizza and good pre-game brews at Rudy's.
I would also definitely take a few minutes to walk around campus and take in the sights.
I don't know what to tell you about tickets. It's only a 2,500 seat arena, and there is a lot of interest in this game from both sides.
You could try contacting the Gotham Gator Club or the New England Gator Club. They are both bringing a lot of fans and might have extra tickets.
Problem with this game is the Yale P-W Gym only seats 2,500, plus a few standing room only seats behind the baskets. I'll check my sources & see if there is a spare tik left. If I had know earlier in the week you wanted to go, I could have grabbed one for you. If you don't live too far from N. Haven, might take a chance & drive over. I've always seen people with x-tra tiks to most every game.
This is Yale's biggest game at home this season. Harvard will be the other prime game for the Bulldogs! I'm sure Gotham can attest to that!!
Thanks for the info. I'm staying at the Yale Courtyard, may stop by & bring my guest over around lunch time. Also meeting a friend from here that is visiting with Coach Jones today with his son who Jones & Yale are recruiting.
I like Jones. Good guy, good coach.
Are the pizza joints close to the Courtyard? Courtyard folks told me it's only a 5 minute walk to the gym??
Both pizza places are right on campus. Easy to get to. You can look them up on line.
Yale has a compact campus that is right in the middle of downtown. Easy to walk it and hit nearby stores and bars. They also do a free tour every day that is great to do if you have time.
I will be getting in around 3:30 or 4 and taking in campus with my 5-year-old boy before the game.
Sorry to hear you couldn't get into Harvard. I guess a Yale degree will be OK.......
thx for color guys -- im in NYC so not sure going to drive out 3hrs w/out knowing can scalp....sucks - i shouldve been on it months ago vs thinking i can buy off stubhub this past week....at least its on NBS sports!!!
