They will get in way better / more productive practices than us when the weather is bad, that's for sure

Im torn on an indoor practice field. Yes you get more practices but playing in rain is part of the game and it helps making them do it. Plus just like muschamp says he likes to make his practices as hard as possible. Shade and always being Dry would take that away imo.
They broke ground on this the day of our game. I think we hired the extreme makeover home edition people cause its going up fast.
Also, nice picture considering you were driving away from it when you took it.

I'd like to have one just so we can say we have one but we certainly don't NEED one. There are MANY other athletic items I'd prefer we spend $15 or $20 million bucks on.

Waste of taxpayer money.
I think there is a misconception that an indoor practice facility means teams never practice in the heat or rain. It would just mean that they wouldn't have to cancel practice, change practice time( which sometimes conflicts with class schedules) or move the practice to a parking garage. I understand the argument that the money could be spent in other areas but not that it would make our team soft.
On a side note, a while back one of my coworkers got off the phone with an engineer in Alabama. Nick Saban wanted the Alabama IPF to be able to get down to pretty cold temperatures. Not sure how cold he wanted it but I understand he was pretty angry when he was told it couldn't be done.
IPF is good in an area like Tally that gets a lot of lightning.
Outside of that I like seeing the guys practice in the elements.
Personally I really don't care what they are building in tallacrappy. If we decide to build one it will be better than there's anyways, just like everything else.If I was a nole I would want the money spent on making that dump of a stadium nicer for the fans.I was surprised how much of a dump that place is in person.
