Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
DRob's coach is just good at seperating bu$ine$$ from friendships.
U have a link? I gotta see this
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
TG said in the press conference today, Champ said he was friends with Robinson's HS coach.
I don't believe it.
Probably was a dig at the guy.
Wouldn't doubt it. Coaches form relationships with HS coaches all the time. Just because the guy was trying to convince him to go to Clemson doesn't mean he hates UF or anything. It seemed more like he wanted him to honor his commitment and felt maybe it'd give him a better chance to make it to the league. Which are both valid points.
Probably true. Sort of like when he said he was a big Lane Kiffin fan.
He said it a sincere tone, but who knows his intentions other than him and the coach
Muschamp is good at being a poker-faced jokester.
Here's the quote. Sounded sincere to me.
"Demarcus Robinson is a young man that’s on campus right now and has done a really nice job in the weight room. Past that, I couldn’t comment other than the fact that Chad Campbell, the coach there at Peach County is a good friend of mine and he thought a lot of Demarcus coming out as far as where he was as a football player.”

This just shatters my universe.
Look, I know it's easy to get stuck in the "they-must-pay-players mold," but anyone looking at it objectively can conceivably see how a high school coach would think a top-notch receiver is better off going to Clemson that Florida. It's really not that much of a stretch.
Yep completely agree. They'll put huge numbers at Clemson that our offense really isn't designed for.
Hopefully we can bump the trend like bama did with cooper and get some major playing time for Drob as a true freshman and have a monster impact
No college HC is going to publicly talk sh*t about a HS coach. You don't want to burn bridges in the recruiting business... and other HS coaches would take notice, too.
Absolutely, but we needed players to change this offense. We got em!
It's not just that but if you're coaching a high school team that has consistent D1 talent you don't want to have guys pull last minute flips every year. I'm sure most high school coaches would rather their kids mke a commitment and stick with it and establish done trust with D1 coaches.
I agree to an extent. But, Julio Jones was coveted by NFL teams without having record breaking numbers. If I were DR's coach, I would have been more concerned if we still had the same WR coach(es) that underdeveloped talent on hand. With Joker, we know DR is getting great coaching, a change at winning championships and being nationally televised 10-12 games a season. If DR is as good as advertised, it won't matter if he only catches 60-80 yards/game, he'll be on NFL radar.
After I thought about it this is the conclusion I came to as well.
