If I'm not mistaken, from what I read, his mother was on Florida's side and likely had more pull than his HS Coach in the end. Upvote for Robinsons mom, sounds like she is a big reason why this happened. Thanks mom, and thanks Boom and coaches for building that relationship with mom.
If I'm mistaken, apologies.
Or maybe just a thanks to mom post if you don't want to upvote, either way, she is my new favorite Gator mom.
Honestly I think she just wanted him to go where he wanted to go. I think he always wanted to go to UF but the coach was trying to sway him to Clemson.
Yea his mom is tha shiznit.
Well Kudos for her in supporting him in going with his heart and not the pressure. Helped us this time, thanks for the info.

Finally Momma helps us for a change!
Agreed, glad to see a parent just want to support a kids decision.
And that is just a guess on my part.

Oh no he didn't.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Oh yes he did. I'm glad to be WRONG on that, thanks. Never upset on being wrong when its good news for the Gators.

Yup, the jinx is lifted!
Just giving you some hell. No big deal.
Trust me, I lol'ed, it was a good one.
So we have no REAL & ACCURATE info about what his Mother's role in recruiting really was, but we are giving shout outs and thanks? Someone on these message boards posts an idea that might explain the recruitment of DRob, and the less intelligent posters run with it, thinking that the OP was stating fact. Then some random Jackhole takes this rumor to twitter, and then another tool takes it to the other boards, and it becomes fact.
Weaving through this garbage is what makes recruiting so frustrating, and fun sometimes. Trying to figure out which rumor has any truth to it at all, is part of the game that makes damn near all of us cynics after three, four years lol.
Who pissed in your Wheeties last night, LOL
Rumor was Mom just supported her son making up his own mind and not bowing to pressure. These days that pretty cool.
