Chris Walker @cwalkertime23
“@GhibbyGhibz: @cwalkertime23 Gator fan here.Just wondering why did you choose UF?” how could I not choose a school like you Uf #powerhouse
i'm still skeptical he's a one and done...but i'm glad he's ours!
We are going to be so ridiculously talented next year
This is how I personally see our line up next year if Pat Young comes back:
PG and SG: Wilbiken, Hill, and Frazier doing a 3 man rotation for those two positions
SF: Finney-Smith and Yeguete rotating and Yeguete might play a little 4 next year too
PF and C: Harris, Young and Walker doing a 3 man rotation for those two positions.
This is an incredibly deep and talented line up where these players would be starting on most top 25 teams
What are Finney-Smith's strengths?
Is he a shooter or more of a slasher?
Im sure others will get some pt but the majority of it will go to these guys imo. Theres so many fresh bodies we will be able to put in without a serious drop off its crazy
I see a nine man rotation for now:
PG: Wilbekin, Hill
SG: Frazier, Graham
SF: Finney-Smith, Prather
PF: Yeguete, C. Walker
I could see Hill playing along side Wilbekin some but Frazier and Graham are too good to cede much of the SG time. I could see C.Walker starting and Yeguete backing up, both positions if Young does not return. I could see D. Walker getting minutes at the 3, if Prather ends up as the 4th big again next year.
Prather was really coming on before the ankle. I think he'll be terrific next year.Plus, Young def returns to polish his offensive game.

So you think Young is NBA bound after this year?
Our line up next year is ...jeez our offense will be nasty and less three point reliant. If Young comes back we return Wilbekin, Young, and Yuegette...our three best defensive players as well. Walker and Finney are going to give us more drive options along with Yuegette who is slowly finding himself offensively.
Man...after the 06-07 class we had struggles...looks like after this class we will be just fine. Hard to replace a murphy and boynton...but we have pieces to be very good next year as well. Man...great to be a Gator.
Said class meant group*. Sorry I'm tired.
I don't have an opinion, though I will note that was said to be the original plan. That is Young was said to originally want to come to UF, graduate in 3 years and then go to the NBA.
I take with a grain of salt any player hinting midseason that they will return. After the season is when the actual decision should and will be made. At that point in time, Young will have much better information and can make a much more informed decision.
I would not leave out Pat since he's only a Jr., so you might want to shuffle your line ups around a bit. DFS is a killer wing, & from what I hear has the potential to be a 1 & done. And then there may be one other addition to the line up in 60 days or less that could really shake things up!!
Gators will have at least 10 guys that can really ball it up next season. This yrs team is really special good and I'm enjoying the bulldozer like ride, even if a little bumpy at times - but next yrs team - will at least have prolly the most talent Fla has ever had at any one time in the history of the program. No offense to the 06-07's, they were great, but the next team could be very very special, just like this seasons team in a different way.
Go Gators - whip the Pigs tonight!! One Diamond at at time!!
Wow, I really hope there is another addition! I am stoked about how the Gators are playing this year, it's been incredible. I love watching the Defense play, almost more than us scoring. Solid, and I mean very solid help D.
Next year seems like there is so much NBA potential on the active roster. I agree with you Jeff, this is probably the most talent on one roster UF has had at one time. Love it! Really hope Pat comes back, idk how likely that is. But you can tell he really enjoys being a Gator.
Are you talking about J. Randle? Kinda thought that ship was slowly drifting away... Hope I'm wrong though. I know we are still in it, just thought we had fell to 4th or 5th place. Wanna share some insight lol?
I think all the talk about Young returning is extreme wishful thinking.
Watched College Basketball Live on ESPN last night and J-Will called Pat Young the Ray Lewis of college b-ball this year... Don't think I would go that far. I do love his energy and intensity when he brings it though.
We'll see. Young may have originally planned to be a 3 year player for BD, but his offensive game, especially in year 2, has struggled to improve. I've seen him make post up/turn-around 10 ft jumpers but I believe his senior year brings a couple things to the table: one is simply his offensive game will be ready for the "have-to-create-your-own-shot" league, and he really does enjoy his college moment and the team he'll be the leader of next season.......all this jmho
