"I was a little bit concerned. I say that because I've never seen this happen before. I'm going to say this because I do love him, and everyboy always asks about he and I's relationship. There must have been about 15 minutes or 16 minutes to go on the clock, and Rosario comes racing into the locker room and I can tell he looks disheveled.
"I'm like, Mike, 'What are you doing?'
"'I just gotta do something.'
"'Mike, we're warming up right now.' And he pulls out his phone. And he's dialing his mother because he can't see her because she's not out there. He wants to make sure she got in here. I'm like, 'Mike, just go warm up. Mom's going to be OK.' So it was a really big deal for him.
"Erik Murphy was emotional, Kenny Boynton was as emotional as he can be. He doesn't show it as much, but I was concerned coming out of the locker room. I could just tell the look on their face. There is a realization that's really, really hard. I think the realization that this is it.
"I mean, Erik Murphy will never ever ever or Kenny Boynton or Mike Rosario will never take a shot in this building again. That's how fast it goes by. I think sometimes those guys get that realization that this is it. In those moments, sometimes it's really hard to get your team focused. I thought they did a really good job of getting themselves ready to play."

Billy is so candid, love him
He's gotten more candid over the years, and it's great.
Last night was definitely emotional. Murphy was fighting back tears at the post game handshake.
Billy the Kid, age 48,
5 SEC Championships,
2 National Championships...
Understand it, though. I would be bawling.
Great story, Billy D is the man.
Those are the nights I realize how lucky I am to be able to cover these guys. Won't forget last night for a long time. Murphy has come a long, long way, and it's been a pleasure covering his career from start to finish.
When was the last time a senior class was this good? KB was a 4 year starter and McDonald's AA, Rosario was a solid contributor and starter as a senior as well as McDonald's AA, and Murph has played in almost every game of his career and Parade AA.
What a great senior class.
