At night, on the water, on ships.....................................THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A BAD IDEA.
Two games cancelled this year!!!
TIME FOR A NEW IDEA to honor the Veterans!!!
That said, appreciate the dedication and service of our veterans.
Yeah, gotta have it during the day if at all.
Got to be during the day
EPIC FAIL!! How they thought this was going to work I will never know.
no issue with decision to stop game, but this could cost us a win we might need down the road
Just convert airplane hangars into arenas like they did in Germany for UConn/Mich State..keep them off ships
What time did UNC MSU play last year? During the day, what about the sun in your eyes?
It was at night, but its just to uncontrollable.
I like the hanger idea.
MSU/UNC in San Diego started around 5:30 PM Pacific time..as the sun was setting
Not to mention that humidity and condensation is significanlty LESS in San Diego then along the East Coast.
Just call it a condensed game and give us a win!
How about just have it at the O'Dome and invite some veterans? Why the big dog and pony show? So stupid.
Totally ridiculous. A good and noble idea to honor veterans, but the execution is a complete embarrassment.
How could they not anticipate that the humidity would be a problem. Why didn't they test court surfaces, times of day, or possible solutions?
How would you like to be one of those people who shelled out over $1,000/ ticket for this fiasco?
Billy the Kid, age 48,
5 SEC Championships,
2 National Championships...
I'd be curious to talk to more people who went to the game to see what they thought about it in light of the game being called off. Honestly, it was such a cool experience that almost everyone I saw living the ship appeared to be in great spirits and seemed like they were happy being a part of it, even if it didn't end up getting through to completion.
One of those things that's tough to describe to someone who wasn't there, I guess. Anyone here make the trip up for it? Would love to get your thoughts.

Just curious where the ticket money went. I would hope it went for wounded warriors. $1000 is absurd.
I'd assume those who paid a thousand did so to scalpers on the secondary market. And I'm sure those scalpers donated their profits to vets. Yup.
Yea....horrible idea....great thought but not going to work and that cost us a good ooc win cause they weren't beating us. Play it on a military base!!
The pricing of the tickets and the entire concept in general given the conditions of the area were absurd. I just hate it for the troops and everyone involved.
One thing I noticed last night....when the recent grads were honored, somewhere around the 10 min mark or something, the players from both teams all shook their hands...most of the players just shook hands with a glossy look on their faces..but if you watched Patric closely, he said "thanks" and "congrats" to each and every one. He's just a class act all the way.
