dont know anything about this kid, but BD going hard after his 2014 PG it appears
"schools recruiting 2014 point guard BJ Taylor the hardest are Florida, Indiana and Miami"
apparently kid HS teammates of Schuler Rimmer
Boone point guard B.J. Taylor (23 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals) and former Gator commit turned Stanford signee Schuyler Rimmer (13 points, 14 rebounds).
I know he was at a game a week or so ago.
B.J. Taylor, 6’2 JR PG, Orlando Boone: A member of the all-tournament team, Taylor had a very solid four days. He can score as well as lead a team and maintains an even temperament throughout the contest. Taylor has good size for the point guard spot but the quickness and ball-handling skills of a sub-six footer. He has the ability to score the ball from all three levels and always looks to make plays for others as he heads to the basket. Defensively he’s solid as he relies on positioning and doesn’t overreach for steals. While it doesn’t seem to be part of the Boone playbook, it would be interesting to see Taylor and Rimmer run some ball screen action to see how both players handle this aspect of the game that continues to increase in use and popularity at the collegiate level.
Pretty sure he went to the game with Grayson Allen
who are his early favorites?
Kid is good now, and getting better by the week....really good looking 14 PG prospect...killed it at our team camp last summer
Sounds like Trevor Releford
I've seen BJ play probably over 10 times. Without a doubt his strength is getting to the bucket. The kid can penetrate extremely well. His shot has improved every year since he started. And is still something to work on. He would do wonders with the on-ball screen action BD uses. Most of his penetration comes by himself without screens.
great stuff, thanks...no UF offer yet,but if he continues to get better, one may come this summer
Love the basketball talk. +1 to all throwing their knowledge in here for others to absorb.
Bullis, where do we stand on recruiting Wilbekin II?
Billy the Kid, age 48,
5 SEC Championships,
2 National Championships...
Thanks for posting on the kid, but WTF is up with the all caps screaming "FLORIDA BASKETBALL NEVER STOPS"?

No one has seen him more than we have, so if coaches offer (or not) we will have to trust that decision....he was injured last season and played almost no summer AAU so we are evaluating him now that he is back....he is on the list of 2014 PG (along with Taylor) we are evaluating but have not offered
So he's trying to help with t-shirt sales?
Not!! Kid is good. Not sure I like his trash talking during games. Has high opinion of himself. I've seen him shut down by good players in Orlando. Need to see him play against better competition on AAU circuit before I can say for sure. Seen him several times. Not in the same league with Hill or Berry.
BJ had 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists tonight in a 30 point district tournament win. Very impressive showing. Likely working his way towards a UF offer.
