Nate, aren't you the poster who said going into last year we had a top 5 WR unit in the nation?
I might have you mixed up, if so, I apologize.
I will hold my optimism on the offense. Im not a sky is falling type, but im really interested in seeing what these freshman wrs can do. I think Robinson and bailey are def going to contribute this year. Im really excited about them.
I don't know if he said top 5 but he was raving about them.
I laugh at a list that includes Debose. Not sure why people still expect him to do anything.
Nope, but I did say they were top 5 statistically with what was returning in the SEC (not Nation) which they were.
It was not an opinion related post it was a statistical based post but many including yourself have brought it up several times and out of context
to bash or state how bad our WRs are. But in the case of what I posted prior to last season it was pure numbers and TG also helped and provided accuracy to those statistics.
Im sure you have the right person, just the wrong context of the post as you did the same thing when I originally posted I believe but could be mistaking, If so I apologize.
What statistics? High school rankings?
Raving? I only provided the returning WR production returning as compared to the rest of the SEC. However, I do support them and know for a fact the talent is there to be an excelent WR core as coaches have said way to many times. But with OC changes, QB changes, system changes, those like Debose have been given little chance to suceed. But, also considering the lack of work ethic from AD he can blame himself as well. Dunbar has proven what he is capable of doing as did Reed. Hammond had moments but the offense rarely went to the air as the season progressed. Hines will now be missed as folks saw his abiliies once given chances witht the ball in his hands....so to knock Debose a guy who scores a high % of times he touches the ball regardless of KR, PR, or scorching an Bama DB to say he is a waste is IMO something you may regret.
Let us not forget Julio Jones during Bamas run heavy years compared to what he became with reps and oppurtunity.....
Same will be complained about this year as the Superstar everyone is holding hopes on for the season in DRob, he will have an average to pedestrian year and everyone will complain and blame JD for some reason when they should look at the system and HC as to why this will be a smash mouth run first team with a manager at QB. Wait until Grier gets here and has 200 yd passing games, everyone will continue the same routine even though 10-11 wins become the norm.
Many UF fans will continue to like the media be down on UFs offense until WM is fired and a guy like Spurrier or Sumlin come in and throw the ball 50 times a game with success. Then they will bitch about the bad running game and how they can't recruit feature RBs. LOL this goes on and on and so many never pay attention or look at it relative to what it is. For Example, name me 5 outstanding, raved about WRs Bama has had under saban?
When Auburn had Cam how many elite WRs did they have? With Spurrier at UF was UF ever a RB powerhouse consitently? Now at USCe how many superstar WRs has SoS had? What about UT...They are 100% garbage but had arguably the best WR duo in the country. Hell Kiffen and USC had the "top QB, and Elite WRs in a shit brick of a conference and what did that get them? No need to keep going.
Good day my friend
Look no further than the post you replied to, your answer is written in plain view, or revist the archives Im sure the thread is still available to see.
Just an FYI HS rankings has nothing to do with the subject, and if you meant HS statistics they would not qaulify as "returning players statistics".
I did however have high hopes for Pittman and Andrades and believe with time and reps it will pay off, you probably don't but thats your right.
For your reading pleasure.

Time for an update!!!
Obviously the returning production will drop quite a bit with Reed leaving early
Beatings will continue until morale improves
At this point I know because of what TG posted, but in that post I replied to there was zero indication as to what "statistics" and "numbers" you were referring to.
Annnnnd, returning production obviously means jack. Alabama is at the bottom of those lists.
Which 10 teams would "beg" for our receivers? If anything they'd be the top reason I'm worried about the offense. Followed by Driskel. Hopefully our running game can carry us again because I don't see much improvement in the passing game happening until another year or two of recruiting.
So you are saying there are NO EXCUSES this year?
IMO the production (or lack thereof) of our offense will rely heavily on our only capable QB on our roster at this point. I do believe that out O-line is much improved, RB stable is talented yet unproven except for the FSU game and I actually do believe we have talented WR's. But the game must slow down for Jeff a bit so he can get through his reads and not stare down his primary receiver. His legs will win us games, but a better pocket presence could win us a championship with the pieces we have. We need Jeff to develop asap.
I'm always optimistic because I bleed Orange and Blue! Go Gators!
Yes, there are reasons for optimism. The reality is that almost all of those OL and WR have seen significant PT have shown little.
The good part is that we won 11 games last year with the worst WR corps imaginable and an OL that was only slightly better. There has been an influx of talent both places. On the OL, it is experienced talent plus a year under Humphries belt. I think there is legitimate reason to expect major improvement there.
At WR, there is reason for optimism for the future, but I think it is a big reach to expect it to be an above average group next season. Hopefully, a FR or two is ready to play and improvement by the OL makes Driskel's and the WRs look better than they otherwise would be.
U better wright done more than three lol
