Combine freak Henry planning visits

  • Has anyone seen this kid play defense? I mean we all think he could play but you have to have a certain mentality to play on that side of the ball. Especially at DE/LB. If he switches positions and is too soft to play defense then what good is he to us?

  • I would start showing Henry films of how New England uses Hernandez. That is what Henry should be thinking about now. A guy that plays TE, WR and H-back and is in the backfield as an RB. I would hate to see him do what JWJr is doing at FSU. By the time he figures out he would have a better shot at the NFL in a different position, he will be too deep into his college career to have time to learn it. Henry is better of playing all over the field and seeing where that takes him.

    We did recruit a Matt Jones, but the likelihood is that Henry simply outgrows the position if he hasn't already. With Jones being known to have good hands, my guess is that we motion him out quite a bit. It's one reason why I didn't think it was a huge loss not getting an elite WR this cycle.

    But we're not going to run off players like Lane or Taylor, who fit our system perfectly, to take a 6'4" 250 pound RB who won't play the position for us at that size. I can't tell you how excited I am to follow the senior campaigns of those two RBs, especially Lane, since he has more to prove to people (not me).

  • kid did have florida leading up until urban left, he wore florida clothes all the time, so i personally wouldnt have been surprised if i were a knowel fan
