Wow! All due respect to the Gators but how can you tell a kid you don't want to play for a team that scores 50 points? Im pretty sure unless you are scUM a team that's scoring 50 points a game is probably winning 99% of those games! Isn't winning the key in college football?

Im not trying to be disrespectful but doesn't all power house teams concentrate on defense? When is the last time you seen a national champion not rely on a great defense? I just thought it was a different approach at recruiting!!

You don't, those teams are all about offense which was his point...his teams are all about defense

Every team not being an SEC team since 2006 has relied on offense to get to the national championship. Y'all twice Oregon Oklahoma, ND broke the trend this year but teams rely on offense all the time.

Finish reading the sentence. The point/pitch was that with most offensive-minded HCs, particularly the ones that put an emphasis on tempo and scoring quickly (Oregon, Clemson, etc.), the defense often spends alot of time on the field and/or is put in less than ideal situations (left out to dry).
Putting my fanhood aside, it's a great pitch IYAM: a defensive-minded coach trying to appeal to a blue-chip defensive prospect by using his (defensive) philosophy to gain an edge, while primarily competing against 2 programs with offensive-minded HCs (OSU/Meyer, CU/Swinney) for said recruit.
And it seems to have worked...at the very least, it gave McMillan something to think about.
