CBS Sports.com Basketball Poll....

  • drops Fla to #10 after close loss to MO. Miami gets blown out to unranked W.F. & remains ahead of Fla. at #9 & MI. State loses 2 in a row & is ranked #7!!!!
    Gotta be Big 10 Alumni doing the voting in the studio!!!

  • CBS ranks 3-4 Big Ten teams (mainly Indiana, Michigan, Michigan St.) in musical chair fashion. They try and apply the SEC Football logic devaluing ones loss while overvaluing the victors win. For instance when Michigan St. crushed Michigan. St rocketed up the rankings and Michigan fell 1 spot.

    I can't wait until a team like Memphis (24-3 ranked #25 by CBS) who hasn't lost since 12/15 comes along in March and stomps the piss out of a Michigan or Michigan St. and their 1/2 seeding.

    Good pt. Maybe CBS has the TV rights to the Big 10!! That would explain their bias!

  • We haven't had a meaningful win in more than 2 months. Schedule is killing us. MSU shouldn't have dropped much. Close loss to the #1 team and a close loss to a good team on the road. Ours wasn't a bad loss either (except how it happened), but we don't have any recent good wins to balance it out - plus we are a MASH unit at the moment.

  • The committee doesn't even look at the polls. If we win out, we'll get a 1 seed. I would rather have a 2 if the bracket is better though, like TG showed that one bracket last week.

    Cowherd was ripping the Big 10 on his show on Thursday of last week. He said they will all be out by round 3, and to look at who has won the NC's over the last 20 years. He gave us some love too.

  • CBS is a joke...i strongly dislike there radio shows...the only good thing going is Jim Rome and i could take or leave him....i hate that our radio station in Melbourne switched from ESPN radio to CBS radio...BLEHHHH

    It is not a poll, but merely the opinion of two guys. They reach a consensus rather than just vote as a poll is. But it is two guys. So it is pretty irrelevant.
