I'm a Farve Fan, remember the first game I ever saw him play. He was awesome against FSU, the Noles were ranked #1 in the nation, it was their first game playing Southern Miss. Farve picked them apart with his quick release and throwing darts to his receivers. Man did he fit in a lot of passes and get rid of the ball early before the FSU rush could get to him.
Being an old Gator fan I was screaming at the TV, rooting for the upset. It happened and I knew I was watching someone very special. What a football player...
His return each season is almost Epic, it's show Brett the love Day...
It's - The day the Earth Stood Still...
Same thing happened last year... The 17th or 18th of August will be named the Brett Favre Day!
On this new National Holiday, indecision is the command....
restaurants will develop long lines because people will take hours to make their minds up over the menu
hospital emergency rooms will overfill because the doctors won't be able to make their minds up as too what tests and x-rays to order for their patients
construction, auto repair, fast foods, stores across the country will close due to indecision and waste, well they'll think about closing...
maybe you'll get paid for this holiday, your boss will have to figure this one out the day after of course....

For the first time, I think there was an actual decision for Favre to make in regards to playing this year...his ankle is still being bothersome, and he may not be 100% when the season starts.
That said, did anyone really think he wouldn't play this year?
- 15 starts get him to 300 for his career -- which has never been done -- Bruce Matthews is the NFL's all-time leader in career starts with 292.
- 671 passing yards this season get him to 70,000 for his career.
- Three touchdowns get him to 500 for his career.
Plus, Favre is a guy who cares about his legacy and his records. He wants to go out a winner, and every year he plays tacks on another year that Peyton will have to play to top Favre in any number of career statistical categories. I think Manning can go to 40 if he wants. His body has held up fairly well over the years, and, like Favre, I really can't imagine him doing anything else. Just my two cents...
