Donovan says Gators didn't play the kind of defense they needed to at Georgia. Says the Gators didn't compete when the game wasn't going well.
Erik Murphy had a lot of open looks and the ball didn't go in.

Donovan says the team has to have an internal resiliency and fight when things don't go well, something they didn't show Saturday.
Attitude yesterdaay at practice was pretty good. Practice was good but says players have to internalize that fire to be good every day instead of having these constant ups and downs.
Donovan says that Walker is pretty even keeled but there are times when the Gators need him to lead by a more fiery example. Says not enough communication going on.
Donovan says definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Says it's time to find someone else to lead the team.
Donovan says Walker always tries to do the things he's asked to do as far as playing but the things that could make the difference in the team he may not be capable of doing.
Donovan was talking about leadership here and it's obvious the team isn't being led.
Donovan says the team is starving for an emotional leader.
Parsons wanted that leadership role and embraced it. Patric Young, Donovan says, is capable of it but has to step it up.
There isn't one clear voice on the floor and that's a problem.
Donovan singles out Bradley Beal, Young and Scottie Wilbekin ... those are the guys he's mentioning as the guys who have to become that leader on the floor.
This is interesting but he's right. It is time ... particularly Beal. He's the leader by example on the floor so the next step would be to become the vocal leader.
Donovan says the Gators could play very well but still lose the next two.
Donovan: We have good guys who want to win.
Donovan: What we did against Auburn and Georgia won't cut it.
Donovan: If they continue on the same path then all the work they've put in the whole year will be for nothing.
Patric has to become a consistent player on the floor to become a better vocal leader.
Walker and Boynton have to lead by energy and passion but when there is no fire from them it is internalized by the entire team.
Some of the leadership role falls naturally on Walker and his personality doesn't lend itself to being a fiery leader. He's not being rebellious but he's not comfortable in that role, Donovan says.
Donovan says Beal got it after the Auburn game.
Hopes Walker will play at a higher level from here on out.
Gators have to play with the kind of energy and passion that Yeguete played with. Donovan asks who is the guy who can do that?
