No offense to you, buddy. It's just hilarious how every white player in bball or football are only compared to other white players.

He reminds me of Serena Williams. I don't pigeonhole someone based on race, gender, or sport played. Maybe even a Rosa Parks, because you can't steal the ball (or bus seat in this analogy) from him.

  • I've seen him play a couple times. He got a great feel for the game. Super athletic, really strong stout lower body. He's got NBA range already. I think he's McDonalds All-American good.

I also saw Dwight Howard, Lou Williams, Mou Aboute(sp), Gerald Green, Spencer Hawes, Martell Webster, JR Smith, Wayne Ellington, Gerald Henderson play in HS. So I'm an expertmoon

People forget how great Vernon was at Buchholz HS and UF before all the issues in the NBA...little before most of the boards time, but man he could play...

I was at Buchholz a year ahead of Vernon. I was even the PA announcer at the hoops games.

People don't generally know that he went out for football his senior year and was named team MVP. Great athlete, actually a pretty friendly guy, but just zero discipline.
