  • How convenient for the Miami staff to avoid the large elephant in the room (pending sanctions).

  • Wonder if nothing comes out before NSD how that will affect his decision

They'll probably get their notice; but Miami being a private school, they don't have to divulge any of what's in it... so they likely will get through this NSD without too much negative publicity.

However, if you're a recruit and the Notice Of Allegations comes out pre-NSD, I'm sure you and your family are demanding to know what the future holds for Miami. Be pretty foolish to commit when a school just gets its letter and you don't know what it contains.

Also, any commitments would likely be allowed to back out no matter where in the process they are if Miami gets severe sanctions (like USC players and prospects); so NSD really isn't the finish line for Miami.

I would be willing to bet that te notice is leaked the same day Miami receives it not BCC in the same damn email.

Oh, I'm quite certain it'll get leaked at some point; I'm just saying Miami, as a private school, doesn't have to divulge any of it, and likely won't.

Only a few select sets of eyes get to see that, and the NCAA has already said they won't comment on it at all. We'll see.

  • Possible sign that the sanctions are really bad? Miami already received their noa yet didn't address it with Collins? They must have not liked what they saw.

Golden came right out and publicly said they anticipate some severe sanctions, and that was why he wasn't taking many recruits this year (they only have 13).

Then they also passed up an ACCCG and a bowl game; so I think all those things are pretty good indications of a need for some K-Y in the very near future.
