A.C. Leonard to transfer

  • This hurts but I think that if we get better QB play than we have these past two seasons then Reed, Taylor, and Thompson will all have good seasons.

  • IMHO...

Major upgrades at OC, OL coach, and strength coach. Between the two QBs, I have to think one will be an upgrade over last year. RB's may not be a pure talent upgrade, but a better fit for our current style of offense, so I have to think they will be an upgrade.

The main reason for the doom and gloom is lack of production and big plays from WR's. I'm still worried about our WR coaching, but hope Pease's help there will make a difference. But our lack of production the last two years was as much due to good defenses having zero respect for our running game which allowed them to tee off on the QB. If we can force some respect for the rest of the offense, I think our WR's will finally start showing some plays. And back to my first sentence, that is why I am cautiously optimistic that our offense is going to be good enough to win a bunch of games with a dominating defense.

The game that scares me the most is Texas AM because if we lay an egg there, we may have a hard time recovering. If that game was at a neutral site, I would feel a little comfortable, but that atmosphere is going to be one of the toughest we have ever played in. Living in Texas, I can tell everyone that folks out here are out of their minds in anticipation of getting hold of one of the SEC blue bloods.

    A.C. Leonard to transfer

Florida will be without a projected impact player in the two-deep, with tight end A.C. Leonard transferring from the program.

Yeah, but this one is linked to the article, meaning the comments show up below the article. Unfortunately we don't have merge ability right now, but that's one of the things our IT guys are working on implementing. Until then, just bear with me.

  • any idea where he heading? would suck if FSU,UM or Bama/UT got him w/o having to go the juco route.

  • Time for Muschamp to start putting restrictions on transfers...I understand in the beginning letting last staff's kids go, but if they initially stayed...all bets are off

I get public perception, but these kids and their advocates need to make better decisions and act accordingly...

I think this is a totally different situation than Mike Blakely. Leonard was given chances and by the sound of it simply didn't live up to his end of the bargain. There are consequences for that. I'd bet dollars to donuts he isn't allowed to transfer in the SEC or to FSU.

He was. Still recruited them, tho. Same with the Dwyer boys. I was mostly joking anyway. I have no clue where Leonard will end up.

he tweeted something about UCF. As long as he doesn't get a release to Bama ,FSU or anywhere in the SEC east I'm ok with him playing SEC football.

  • This really hurts, but he is a headcase and this was bound to happen sooner or later.

  • These kinds of transfers rarely work out. AC was an attitude case who had a mountain of PT in front of him and still couldn't fly right. I'm not expecting him to go somewhere and blow up.

  • Don't know about all the other rumored issues, but if he was facing a suspension for the arrest maybe the kid wanted/needed a fresh start. Nothing wrong with that imo.

  • Lets be honest....Tebow and Percy could walk through that door for us this year and Bullis would still think we are losing 4-5 games
