Florida loaded the bases with one out in the ninth but couldn't push across the tying run as the Gators lost to Kent State Monday and went 0-2 at the College World Series.

  • Way too many mental errors and bad at bats. It's a shame, but they only have themselves to blame. That game was easily winnable yesterday.

  • This team didn't have that killer instinct that Tanner and his USC team have. They have as much or more talent, but not the WILL to win. Its strange too because last year they won close games like crazy and came through in the clutch. This entire year their heads seemed to be elsewhere. I called it after that first game. I knew they'd come out flat yesterday and wake up around the 6th inning. Sadly, it was too late. They still had every chance to win and couldn't get it done. The better 'team" won yesterday.

  • I like USC's lineup. They have a bunch of guys that have speed and can handle the bat. Nobody has power when they show up to Omaha. That yard is huge. Combine it with the new bats and I think a lineup like USC is tailor made for the CWS. Every guy can run. 'Zona is pretty similar.

They had some bad breaks this year but as long as Sully is in the house I think Florida's program will remain near the top of college baseball. Brotha can recruit and he can definitely coach.
