? Chris Walker and Mr. Hill ?

  • ? for Franz, Bullis, or anyone really who has seen these guys play often. Who do these kids remind you guys of?

  • Kasey Hill is the second coming of Phil Ford. Not quite as polished as Phil was at the same stage but just as fast. When Dean Smith was coaching Carolina at the end of practice he had his Phil Ford challenge. Phil would dribble from one end of the floor and back dribbling the ball. If you could outrun him you wouldn't have to run sprints after practice. Nobody ever beat Phil.

Kasey Hill has that kind of speed.

Chris Walker's game is evolving and it will continue to evolve. Last year he was enamored with his perimeter jumper. This year he's two inches taller, filled out some more and is stronger so now he's figuring out it's just as much fun to dominate around the rim. He's going to figure things out on his own and learn how to balance inside and outside. When he does that I'll tell you who he plays like but until then, I'll simply say his game is in the evolutionary stages.

  • Thanks for the info F.B. Been watching some Highlights of Walker on Youtube. But as we all know its hard to get a feel for a player, just off a highlight tape. Did notice the kid seems ambidextrous, always like that in a big. Interesting Kansas fans are certain they are gonna get him. Then of course you got Kentucky fans with their usual " We haven't offered yet, when we do, he'll def be a wildcat, cause everyone wants to be a wildcat." You know cause Uk gets everyone and wins every year.

  • Kentucky offered Kasey Hill. He said no. I believe strongly that Chris Walker will do the same thing.

So did Kansas, NC & Louisville among many others!! Who says UF can't recruit with the best????

  • the more his game evlolves, the more Walker is becoming the next Kevin Garnett....he is a unique a talent as we have ever recruited...still needs some polish, etc, but his skill set and athleticism are VERY rare

    Bullis33

  • As for Hill, the more I watch him the more I think pre injuries Steve Franics, or a better shooting Rajon Rondo...somewhere in between.....

I thought you were getting at Kevin Durant here. Too early?

Is his outside shot anywhere near that good at the same stage? Obviously comparing a HS kid to the NBA's best player is silly, but I'd be curious to see how they compare when Durant was a HS junior.

  • Lol. As much as I hate Bron & love KD, Bron is the NBA's best player. There is no debate. But I digress.... I'm glad to have Hill & can't wait to have Walker. Our '13 class will be sick.

  • scout described the rams big 3 based off Friday's run like this:

    "
Hill looked the part of a top 10 prospect ... attacking point guard who can really get to the rim where he is a big time finisher. can knock down a jumper ...even thought not the biggest point guard, freaky athleticism makes him hard to defend

Walker athleticism if possible on another level vs Hill.........maybe the most athletic big man in the class of 2013....Friday he was making plays at the rim and on the glass. Jumpers weren't falling, but looked good

Greene not the same athlete of a Hill and Walker ....he's a fine player in his own right. Physical and skilled, big wing who can knock down jumpers and finish through contact. Will be a good defender

    "

  • Getting Walker would be a huge boost on many levels. Keeping State talent in State, getting a top 5 - 6 player. With Hill and Walker you instantly start with a fabulous recruiting class. Walker sounds like a big that has the potential to do it all. I haven't seen him play yet
but I have seen Hill, Hill is just amazing and if Walker is at that level........wow.

  • Kentucky has not offered Chris Walker and Im not sure they will. Kasey Hill is a great addition for Florida. I think the Harrison twins come to UK.

Bron is the most talented player in the NBA for sure. In fact, he's maybe the most talented NBA player EVER imo. Still, I'd take Durant before him. He's got heart and he's just as versatile with more consistent range. I think KD does more for a team than Lebron, especially if the team already has a couple other good players.

No way. I'm pretty sure Bron leads the team in almost every major statistic. I'm far too lazy to look it up. The guy is a triple double waiting to happen. Like I said, I love KD. And yeah, he's a better pure scorer. But Bron is what? 6'8", 260? Strong, fast, ferocious. Lock down D, has developed a post game. Can and will knock down a three. And plays his heart out night in and night out. He just needs to defect to Wade down the stretch bc I wouldn't trust him at the line in crunch time. Nobody can stop LBJ from getting to the hoop when he wants. You start your team with Durant if you want. I'm taking Bron 10/10 times.
