Is there really a chance here Luke, with KT & AL already on board?

    • Canes say he was in Coral Gables yesterday at the men's basketball game with Golden, Duke, Tracy and a few others.

May have been a troll, though.

Somebody I know said he was there. Same guy also said he was throwing up the "U" 2 days before he de committed. I'd take it with a grain of salt - and as they say "follow the visits".

    • For some reason I think he ends up in Orange and Blue. From what Luke and others have said, Miami has the hammer coming to them after NSD. Also, there is a possibility that Golden could go somewhere. Alex knows we will run the ball a lot and there will be plenty of carries for good RB's in this offense. Pease just took a 4 year non-player and turned him into an 1104 yard rusher!!

True, but on the flip side Miami just had two guys rush for 900 and 600 yards, roughly. They weren't slouches on offense (granted it was the ACC but... anyway) so IMO he would have less to do with Miami because of Duke Johnson who will be there for two more years as the starter.

      Either way, I hope he's a GATOR!!

It's unbearable that Gran can keep operating like he's done and get talent to buy into whatever sack of crap he works for at the time. Remember when he pulled people to Tenn for Kiffin? What about Auburn? How'd that work out for them?

FWIW - and on this board it may not be coming from a Nole - but recruiting in South Florida is very, very connections based. Gran's been recruiting South Florida for 15+ years now, if I remember correctly from his introductory press conference.

Typically, people that are called SF aces have been recruiting the area for years, know all the coaches, etc. I explicitly remember Gran mentioning that kids he recruited are now coaches, assistant coaches in the area.

You've basically got to be from Miami or have spent a ton of time there to be really successful recruiting down there.

    • I've met gran, guy is very personable

    • Personable is one way of putting it. He's got nicknames that put it another way.

I'm obviously not a recruit so I'm sure he acts differently with them

The reason why people hate the guy is because most of the time he gets his man on the recruiting trail, I hope our rivals hate our coaches soon enough as well
