Totally agree, it is highly unlikely he is a Michigan commit for much longer.

One thing to note for Gator fans though is a slightly concerning pattern. He almost committed to Purdue, but opted to visit Michigan instead of heading back to West Lafayette. He got the Michigan offer and committed within a week. Now Florida shows him a lot of interest and he's close to backing out and flipping to you guys. Maybe since he's going to school in Florida it will stick, but sure seems easily swayed which will make it an interesting one to watch until signing day next year.

    • The message is clear. His spot is not being held. The coaches don't have time to waste on a guy who doesn't even bother to tell them he's moving and transferring high schools. I don't blame them. Michigan has a plethora of top rated linemen on the roster and headed to campus. The coaches have no reason to chase Ward.

"We have higher guys on our board"
      "He has issues"

We gladly take him of your guys hands

Besides the fact he's a stud? I respect Hoke's hard-line stance on visitation, but this statement is a little silly.

I agree that the statement is ridiculous. Yes the kid is a stud. Yes Michigan would love to have him. If anyone says they do not want him or that we have better guys is just trying to make themselves feel better. I do however think that the o-line Michigan has brought in the last two years is intimidating to anyone who wants playing time right away. Be it as it may, good luck to the kid regardless of what he does.

That's true, who wouldn't love to have him. However, in this case it helps you to land him much more than it hurts um to lose him. They've brought in over 15 four star prospects over the last three classes. I would venture to say they've out recruited the entirety of college football at that position. I'm sure they'd take a few of your skill position players but that's neither here nor there. That's coming from a state fan and yes it's hard to stomach a compliment to them in any way.

    • For the record, MSU lives on 3 star players from Ohio. I can assure you they can play. The coaching in Ohio at the upper levels is excellent and work ethic is typically not a problem as well. Often the difference between that guy and the higher rated prospect is footwork, hand placement, etc. from a size and athleticism standpoint he looks excellent. Your coaches get paid to coach, let em' work.
