Dominique Easley earned preseason first-team All-SEC honors from the league's coaches.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Six Florida players were named to preseason All-SEC teams by the league's coaches on Thursday, headlined by Dominique Easley, Loucheiz Purifoy and Kyle Christy's first-team selections.
Right guard Jon Halapio, who missed more than two weeks of fall camp recovering from a torn pectoral muscle and is still not cleared for contact, was the only Florida player on offense to earn recognition. He was named to the second-team offense.
Florida had eight players on the coaches' preseason All-SEC teams a year ago: K Caleb Sturgis 1st, DT Sharrif Floyd 2nd, LB Jon Bostic 2nd, S Matt Elam 2nd, RS Andre Debose 2nd, DE Dominique Easley 3rd, LB Jelani Jenkins 3rd, OT Xavier Nixon 3rd.
