I have been thinking about this stat a good bit. If you are ahead by 15 or more points in all wins, then you are ahead too much for teams to foul you trying to get back into the game. So UF this year is won 21 games by margins such that opponents did not bother to foul UF late in the game. UF lost two games UAR and KSU so that UF would be the one fouling not the opponent.
That means there were two chances for opponents to foul UF to get back in the game. In the Zona game they actually did foul Boynton one time and he missed the front end of a one and one. In the Missouri game, they came back on UF without resorting to fouling.
So if in half UF's wins the opponent had been close enough to foul two or three or four times trying to get back in the game, UF would have taken a much more normal number of free throws. That was certainly the case last year when UF played more close games, but led in many.
