The Florida High School Athletic Association state football playoffs enter their second week as we inch closer to the state finals held at Orlando’s Citrus Bowl. 2015 running back Florida target Jacques Patrick helped lead his Timber Creek team into the second round of the playoffs where they will travel to play Apopka.
East Lake with 2014 wide receiver Artavis Scott and 2015 wide receiver George Campbell host Vero Beach. If they were to advance they would play the winner of Dr. Phillips and Tampa Plant. Dr. Phillips will be without high value Gator safety target Marcell Harris.
Florida’s top offensive line target in 2014, Kc McDermott, will help lead his team to a matchup with Seminole Ridge Friday. Also in the bottom half of the bracket, Florida 2015 offer Jaquan Johnson will lead his team against South Dade Saturday.
Florida linebacker commit James Hearns and his Tallahassee Lincoln teammates host Buchholz.
Dwyer and 2014 wide receiver Johnnie Dixon host Boyd Anderson. The winner takes on either St. Thomas Aquinas with 2014 defensive tackle Anthony Moten and 2014 wide receiver Corey Holmes or Plantation.
Florida wide receiver commit Chris Thompson and his Gainesville squad host Vanguard Friday night. If they advance, Thompson could face fellow Gator wide receiver commit Alvin Bailey, whose Armwood team is playing Hillsborough in the second round of the playoffs.
Pasco DL & UF commit Joey Ivie will play Friday.
Pasco, featuring Florida defensive line commit Joey Ivie will host Eastside. On the bottom half of the bracket Florida State 2014 commit, and a prospect the Gators are trying to flip, J.C. Jackson and his Immokalee squad face East Lee County.
Florida safety commit Keanu Neal and his South Sumter team will play host to Bolles in the second round of the playoffs.
American Heritage-Delray and Florida offensive line target Roderick Johnson travel to play University School in what is likely the most anticipated game of the second round.
