LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Five-star running back Bo Scarbrough has been committed to Alabama since Sept. 7, but he's still hearing from a handful of other schools and said he's "90, 95 (percent)" committed.
Alabama RB commit Bo Scarbrough will use his final official visit on Florida, Florida State or Oklahoma.
He plans to visit Alabama officially on Jan. 17, and then he'll take one final visit to either Florida, Florida State or Oklahoma.
Florida coach Will Muschamp has been working Scarbrough hard and the two have had some jovial conversations in recent days.
"I talked to coach Muschamp the day before he hired Kurt Roper," Scarbrough said. "He was calling me asking me how my break was going, did I have fun being back home. We kind of joked around a little bit."
Scarbrough wasn't shy. With Muschamp on the line, he asked him bluntly who he was planning to name his offensive coordinator.
"I can't tell you," Muschamp replied.
Scarbrough fired back without missing a beat.
"I hope it's the person who I'm thinking you're going to hire," he said.
Perplexed, Muschamp asked Scarbrough who he was thinking of.
"Well, I can't tell you because you didn't tell me what you were thinking, so why would I tell you?" the five-star back said with a laugh.
That relationship has kept Florida in the hunt, and it's something Scarbrough seems to enjoy as the Gators continue to recruit the Alabama commit.
"We joke around, it's not just all about football with coach Muschamp," Scarbrough said. "He talks about life a little bit."
